Fees and Funding

Bower Busy Bees welcomes children from 2 – 5yrs.

The cost for non-eligible under 3s is £4 per hour, with a 50% discount on a second child from any one family…ie. £6 per hour for twins.

Early Learning and Partnership Funding

We are in partnership with the Highland Council and from the term after your child’s third birthday you are entitled to receive up to 1140 hours childcare and education, at no cost to yourself, a year, pro rata.

Funded Lunches

Funded meals are available for all 3 – 5 year olds and eligible funded 2’s. Private funded 2 year olds can opt to buy into the lunch programme at minimal cost. The menu is set by Highland Council Catering Service and offers two options of a two course meal. The menu rotates over a set number of weeks, and parents email their child’s choices into nursery by Thursday mornings for the following week. Lunches are prepared at Castletown School kitchen and arrive at Busy Bees in time for serving around 12:15 p.m.

Tax Free Childcare

If you are a working parent, you can open an online account to pay for childcare.  The government will top up the money you pay into the account.  For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2.  You can receive up to £2000 per child, per year.
